Neighbors sue over cohousing in Boulder
Neighbors are suing the city of Boulder, CO for changing zoning to allow a cohousing development called Washington Village. The cohousing community is being planned by Wonderland Hill Development Company
Jim Leach, president of Wonderland Hill, said the timing of the lawsuit couldn't be worse. He said he's been working with nearby property owners to try and address their concerns, and has even offered to redesign a portion of the project to better accommodate residents in the Red Arrow Townhomes, which sit north of the site.
He also said he's been trying to work with neighbors to find ways of raising money to convert one or two parcels that are currently slated to be single-family homes into a small park site, but hasn’t received any response.
From the comments on this article things sound like they are getting nasty.

Too bad that people are fighting this project. Wonderland Hill is one of the best CoHousing developers. I really doubt seriously that the neighborhood or the school district would bet a better deal financially or environmentally.
